Settings for the configuration and document type for clone operations.
Parameter | Parameter Description |
---|
Conf-/Doc Type | Configuration type (only with ProConfiguration ) or document type for this mass operation. For a single entry under Clone; Settings / Copy and without input for "Conf-/Doc Type" the entry will be valid for all types and sub types. Escape character * is allowed. If the configuration or document type is not determined, the object cannot be cloned. |

| Run No. | When BOM are cloned, for each configuration type (also empty, e.g. without ProConfiguration ) several control sets can be defined. As default the set with the lowest run number is used. It also defines the option status check and no ProConfiguration handling. If several sets are defined, the user can select in a main dialogue (column "New Status" and "New Proc.Scen.") the set which shall be used. For the actual clone process, the following values according. the selected set will be used. - Object status
- Proc. Scenario
- New Config.Type
- Control Original
See also advice at the end of this table. For clone operations on document structures, always the set with the lowest run number will be used.
|
Status check | Definition of how ProMassOperations determines whether an object can be cloned or not. |
No ProConfiguration handling | Allows deactivation of handling (object determination, status net, revisioning etc.) by the ProConfiguration also for material with assigned configuration type. This may be necessary for typing material master records not relevant for ProConfiguration . |
Object Status | Only used for actual clone process. When adding another view, this value will be ignored, except a group BOM is created from a plant BOM. Then the plant cross material status is set. Definition of the status for the cloned object (copy / material master basic data and document info record.) For clone processes on document BOM this can also be a successor status of an initial or primary status. In this case the primary status will be determined automatically by MSC and after the document creation a status change will be performed. If the "empty" status is to be set explicitly, the initialization character "!" must be entered. |
Proc. Scenario | Only with ProConfiguration installed and only for object material. Definition of the processing scenario for the new material (copy) or view (plant). Necessary, if different processing scenarios are possible according to the object status. If required the ProConfiguration will start a query for each material. Note: No value check, *-input not supported. |
New Config.Type | Only with installed ProConfiguration and only for object material. Without entry, a new material master record will be created with identical configuration type as the initial material. This option allows defining another configuration type for the clone. The relation between the configurations types (create with template with change of configuration type (MM01)) must be defined correctly in the ProConfiguration . |
Orig. Control | Only for clone operations on material master records with installed and activated PRM. Controls of the handling of document originals by ProConfiguration . No Control / Default The document originals are copied by SAP DMC. This results in an internal reference, the actual copy process will be performed when the original is edited for the first time. Copy original documents (clone) The originals are copies and added as independent documents to the new document info record. Do not copy original documents No originals are copied. No template handling by ProConfiguration . Do not copy / execute template handling (ProConfiguration ) No originals are copied. Template handling in combination by ProConfiguration . This setting may be overruled for each document info record by setting "ProConfiguration Doc. Control" in Basic Settings. If only originals by certain applications shall be removed, either a customer exit is required or appropriate settings for ProConfiguration or ProNovia SAP DMS Framework. |

| If material master records are copied with installed ProConfiguration , the clone process is performed without object dialogue. No additional optional documents to the material will be created. It is possible to change this behaviour as follows: - Object control in ProConfiguration processing scenario (see also above Run No.):
- From ProConfiguration version 3.0 and higher, the behaviour of optional objects without object dialogue can be controlled by customizing settings.
- Customer exit of ProConfiguration (customer exit „After setting all objects and object definition").
- Characteristic under Basic Settings, option "ProConfiguration Doc. Control", which allows to overrule the object handling of the ProConfiguration processing scenario for individual documents. see also

| Without number assignment for material master records, the new material number must be defined by a customer exit. |
