Administrators have special authorizations that can be controlled in detail with SAP authorizations. This includes the normal adjustment Direct Adjustments of running processes as well as a number of special functions.
Closing tasks and activities
Administrators can manually terminate tasks and activities at any time. The function is especially possible for tasks that are executable and mandatory, but have never been executed or whose execution has not (yet) led to the completion of the task. When activities are terminated, the tasks they contain are completely ignored and all tasks that have not yet been completed are skipped.
The function can be executed via context menu in the task widget or process hierarchy widget.
Cancel processIn the Process Hierarchy widget, a running process can be aborted prematurely. All activities that have not yet been completed are also automatically canceled.
Troubleshooting
Unforeseen situations may arise during the process that require an administrator to take corrective action. The possible problems that can occur during a ProProcess process are known and can be corrected using semi-automatic functions.
Basically, processes can be faulty or temporarily faulty. Temporary errors occur e.g. because of locks. With the help of a periodic job, such errors are normally corrected fully automatically. If the problem cannot be corrected even after a certain number of repetitions defined in Customizing, then the process is marked as faulty.
Currently, the following known errors can occur, which must be corrected by an administrator:
An activity has no agents
An object status could not be updated
