The F4 search help for the "Revision status" field shows the plant revisions.

Write plant revision

Based on the production order or the purchase order item, the plant revision and the key date are determined in the inspection lot. The determined revision is written into the "Revision level" field of the inspection lot.

Only orders are relevant if the order type is as follows

  • Production order, therefore the plant revision of the corresponding production order is used.

  • Purchase order, therefore the plant revision of the corresponding purchase order item is used

...

  • If it is a different order type, no plant revision is determined and written (the SAP standard behavior applies)

Key date for the selection of the plans

Based on the determined plant revision, the Valid From date of the plant revision is set as the key date for the selection of the plans. This enables the correct selection of the inspection plan (this is done by SAP).
