The "Stop" mechanism in ProStructure allows parts of a structure not to be maintained in the structure relationship in which the "Stop" is set.

Possible reasons for "Stop"

...

  • With Stop the loaded data volume can be reduced. This can be useful for very deep structures.

  • Splitting of structure relationships to different responsibilities.

  • Separate changes, that is, different change numbers / validities. This is because all SAP structures with the same change number / validity are maintained when the data is used (Checking and applying the data).

  • Need for a substructure to be maintained with the standard SAP application. See also Direct Maintenance of Standard SAP Objects.

...

Despite "Stop", an existing target structure or one in the process of being created in another structural relationship can be displayed.

An example of how stop at installations could be set automatically if necessary:

...

  • Relationship 1 exists

  • Relationship 2 is created, node A is added but marked with Stop (maintenance of structure A in relationship 1)

  • When you create relationship 3, the system informs you that structure B is part of relationship 2 and if driving continues, this part is removed there and a stop mark is set

Set stop manually
