Unlike Microsoft Word, the values in Microsoft Excel are not written to the fields until they are populated. I.e. the user defined file properties can be filled, but the fields show no or old values.
If the value is not displayed correctly after a placement, this can have the following causes:

You have named the cell incorrectly or forgotten to put the prefix in front of the key.
The used Custom File Property is a feature also Show user-defined word document properties.
The master original wasn't automatically filled before, the relevant user-defined file property was not yet defined.
The name of the user-defined file property is incorrect or the prefix for the key is missing.
The property used is a characteristic value, which is not supported used in this document type.
The name is not populated yet filled by the placement module (yet)filling component.
