A reference material is a material which stays in a relationship to the matrial currently executed by ProMaterialData. Examples:

If in ProMaterialData such a reference material is registered (see MMS Basic Settings ) and Integration and Enhancement Manual (MMS | ProMaterialData | Integration & Enhancement), then access to data of these reference material is possible in the filters, the activation and also by using the special value Special Values <REFMAT(..)>.
Access to the basic material views and to classification values are supported. The search help displays all valid tables and fields.

Key values for accessing the material master data tables
The material number will defined using the reference material settings. For other tables than the basic data (MARA) other key values are required for the access.
If these key values are entered here in Filterfield 3 and more than one value is required, this values must be separated using the character /.
Except for MARA, without the definition of key values the currently for the reference material registered keys will be used. By defining the reference material using the settings in MMS Basic Settings , this are the key values of the material views which where processed on the active material. Examples:

Using an enhancement these registered key values can be set by using method SET_TABLE_KEYS of class /PRONOVIA/CL_MMS_REFMAT_DATA. Details see Integration & Enhancement Manual.
