If ProIntegrationLib integrated into the CAD desktop is used, various checks and actions are performed when processing documents in the CAD desktop of ProIntegrationLib:

  • Creation and change of material masters
  • Linking and typing of CAD documents
  • Check for consistency of CAD documents

These checks and actions are triggered by the following CAD desktop actions:

  • Creation of a document
  • Versioning of a document
  • Copy and Replace

Document creation

When you create a document from the CAD desktop, you can make the following queries:

  • Whether a new material should be created.
    • Yes, the creation process for a new material is started.
    • No The material for which the new document is to be created must be entered.
  • If the selected type in the CAD desktop is not unique, the ProConfiguration-internal type (object identification) of the new document must be selected.
    After document creation (by CAD desktop), the ProConfiguration object identification is assigned to the document, and the document is linked to the material master and/or to a data package (depending on the ProConfiguration settings).

Versioning of a document

If the corresponding material is not yet in change, a ProConfiguration change process is started on it. The system checks whether this is currently possible. The actual change and the necessary dialogs are made according to the ProConfiguration settings:

  • Selection of the material status and the ProConfiguration processing scenario.
  • Entry of the data for the validity (change number, revision, validity).
  • ProConfiguration object dialog.
    After document versioning (by CAD desktop), the necessary ProConfiguration links are adjusted to the new version

Copy and replace

This corresponds in ProConfiguration to a material system with a template. The actions correspond to the creation of a document, but a new material is always created.

Checks

Depending on the action, the following checks are performed:

  • Can a specific document category for a material be created at all or does it already exist?
  • Does a material master in its current state allow changes?
  • No labels
