Definition of objects which shall be cloned, copied, exchanged or removed from the new structure. See also Version Handling in Document Structures for more information about document versions when cloning.
Element | Description |
---|---|
Mass operation | Display of the mass operation selected on the initial screen. |
Object | Display of the object key in a tree structure. Structure represents the selected BOM document structure eventually with additionally assigned objects (e.g. documents to a material). The display of additional objects depends on the customizing setting. |
Clone | The selected object will be cloned. Material or document will be copied, using the initial object, a new BOM is created. The BOM is created according the selection of the superior items. |
Object cannot be cloned. Details are written in a separate message column. | |
Copy | If the superior object is cloned, the superior position will be copied identically into the new BOM. |
Replace | The relevant component will be replaced by another, already existing component. The new component must be registered in a dialogue. The new material for the relevant plant must be maintained in the BOM. If the target plant is not matching the reference plant and a material is without target plant view, it is checked whether the missing view can be cloned from the reference plant. If possible, the user is warned and asked for confirmation. Then the plant view will be created when processed. For option "Clone replacement object", the material will not be integrated in the target structure, but its clone. If the replacement material / document has a structure, the components can be selected in a dialogue. If the object with BOM is replaced by an object without suitable BOM, the user is warned and can select between two options: Which BOM is used as reference depends in the current available data. If the reference plant is different from the target plant and the replacement object has a BOM in the reference plant, it will be copied. Else the BOM of the reference material will be copied from the reference plant. If a variable-size item should be replaced, some consistency checks will be processed for the new to be added material. They are similar to the ones processed in the BOM maintenance for variable-size items. They contain, among others, checks concerning the dimensions of UoM of the new material according the corresponding formula key maintained in the old material position. Example: A material has to be enabled to be calculated in areal or cubic UoM, if such a formula key is provided (m -> m2 / m -> m3). If this is not possible, a error message will be displayed and the new material can't be used to replace the old one. In a dialogue the type of replacement is indicated by suitable icon next to the check box. See also General Interface Functions. |
Ignor. | If the superior object is cloned, this position will be ignored in the new BOM. |
New object | New number or ID for object which will be cloned. Possible is either an existing material or document number (continue clone process) per internal number to identify. |
Current status | Current object status. |
New status | Status of new cloned objects. See also Operation cloning. |
New description | Only material clone operations in combination with ProConfiguration. Processing scenario for the creation of the material in the clone process. See also . |
Description | Object description |
Message | Additional information (see also above Clone). |
Additional fields | Depending on the operation and objects additional columns with information will be displayed. |
