Defines the document type for the templates, how they are accessed and where to store to original files.
Without implementing a customer-exit following file name will be set for new original files:
<Path according customizing>\<doknr><dokar><doktl><dokvr>#<orignr>.<extension>
See below, "Temp prefix", for temporary file names when using internal document numbers. Please note, that some characters will be filtered from the document number:

Logical file paths are defined using transaction FILE, see standard SAP documentation. Following an example defining the logical path to a physical path.
Access to template document info records and defining path and file names can be altered using customer exits.
