Creating a Successor Material Data Record

In order to create predecessor-successor-process, various processing scenarios must be set-up and assigned.

A processing scenario is always required in the predecessor material as trigger for the process. Also required is a processing scenario for the successor material, serving as receiver and controlling the creation process of the successor material.

Create successor	If this processing scenarios is activated by a status change, the successor status is started, e.g. a successor material is created to the current material.
Create as successor, W/O Obj	Change mode in the successor material, only document objects are created initially.
Create as successor, WITH Obj	Document objects if successor material are created with template. The document objects of the predecessor material is used (if suitable objects in the relevant data packages available.

(*) = ProConfiguration internal type of processing scenario in customizing setting Activities processing scenarios. The process of the successor material is always controlled by the cross plant material status.
