Document linking

Based on the plant revision, the relevant documents can be determined from the ProConfiguration data model and these can be linked to the logistical object.

The relevant documents can originate from the client data model and for the corresponding plant. The determination of the documents on client are made depending on the customizing settings as follows:

• Default

  • If the validity of the same client revision is within the range of the plant revision, the date according to the settings for the plant revision is used. If the validity is outside (i.e. smaller), the valid-to date of the client revision is used.

• Minimum validity from revision

  • The valid-to date is always used for the same client revision as the factory revision.

• Maximum validity from revision

  • The valid-from date is always used for the same client revision as the plant revision.

Depending on the settings, the document links:

• Synchronized, i.e. existing links that do not match are also removed.

• Only missing ones are added. This allows to create manual links to any documents.

The document links are always determined, matched and saved when the corresponding objects are saved.
