The extension of views creates the defined views in the selected material master records in the structure, if they are not yet existing in the destination view. BOM which do not exist will be copied in the plant view.
If not all existing views of the reference will be transferred, the maintenance status on the plant will be reduced. Example:

  1. A reference plant has views "Quality control" and "Distribution" with data in the plant and distribution record (MARC / MVKE). Therefore the initial plant has those two views in the maintenance status (Q and D), because a distribution view always has data in a plant view. If a new plant is cloned, but without the distribution view, the maintenance status of the target plant is reduced and will have only view "Quality control".

If another extension is made later for the existing plant structure and new views are created, the missing views, but also the maintenance status and eventually the relevant fields of the plant will be adjusted.

  1. The destination plant only has a Q-view. In another process for the view extension the same From-To-plant is used, but also the distribution view is cloned. In this case the destination plant also requires the distribution view (V). But this is only possible, if all relevant distribution data have been maintained. Therefore ProMassOperations will synchronize the relevant data for the reference plant with the existing destination plant. Relevant values in the reference plant will be transferred to the destination plant if necessary.

This synchronizing will be performed for all views.
