ProDocument provides a browser for the navigation within the folder structures. The appearance is similar to the structure of a Windows explorer. All documents created with ProDocument will be stored in these folders.

  • The ProDocument Browser supports a private and a public folder tree.
  • The ProDocument Browser provides a favorite list for each user.
  • Each folder must have a folder type. The folder type will be registered in the classification of the document info record. The characteristic name within the classification is defined in the basic settings (see ProDocument Basic Settings).
  • The highest node in a public tree always has a fix document number and must be created manually by an administrator. The document number contains the value PUBLICROOT and a prefix, to differentiate various root nodes. The prefix is a parameter in the object handler definition (see Configure Object Handler).
  • The document type for the document folder is set in the folder type settings (see Folder Settings). It's possible to use different document types for each folder type.
  • Part document and version number can be selected freely and will have no influence. Only one root document should be created, else the selection will be random. However root documents marked for deletion are ignored.
  • A folder can be classified and the values can be inherited on documents and subfolders (see Folder Settings)
  • It is possible to restrict the document types, which can be added to a folder type (see Folder Types).
  • In can be defined, which document identifications are allowed within a folder (see Folder Types).
  • The private tree is visible in all interfaces and interface definitions. The highest node will be created automatically for each user.
  • Different icons can be set for different folder types.
  • Private folders, which have been created automatically also have a folder type, which is defined in the basic settings ProDocument Basic Settings.
  • No labels
