This function allows manipulating characteristic values and classifications over several selected material master records. Characteristic values can be deleted, copied or missing valuations and assignments can be added.
Additionally it is possible to set the classification status from class assignments to a status „released" without any checks (opposite to SAP standard auxiliary tools).
The change management allows determining the validity of characteristic values dependent on the key date or parameters. Depending on the class settings this option may not be available.
Function protected by authorization.
Customer exits allow detailed influence on all functions.

Replace value | Replaces the searched characteristic value in all selected material master records. |
Assign value if not valued | The „New characteristic value" will be assigned to all selected material master records, which are not assigned. |
If multiple values, also if missing | Addition to function above for multiple values. If the new characteristic value is not set the object will be regarded as unassigned. |
Copy value | Copy of value found acc. to option „Value search/set/replace" from „Characteristic name" to Characteristic to", if the value has not been assigned. |
Replace any old value | Addition to function „Copy value". The value will be copied even the target characteristic has been already assigned. The current value will then be overwritten. |
Delete value | In all selected material master records the assignment of the respective characteristic will be deleted if the assignment matches the setting in „Value to set/search/replace". |
Assign class if missing | Assigns this class to all material master records, to which this class has not yet be assigned. |
Set. Cl. status to released | This function will set the classification status of class assignments to „released". |
Delete class allocation | A selection popup for all relevant objects will be displayed. For the chosen object, the specified class will then be deleted. Charactersitics which are only valuated in this class will also be deleted. |
