When cloning a document structure the version handling depends on the mass operation settings.
Options:

  • Use current document version

  • Use highest released document version

  • Use absolute highest document version

If for a clone operation it is specified in the settings that the highest (absolute or released) version should be used, ProMassOperations behaves as follows:

Screen / Function

Behaviour

Initial screen

Always highest document version and structure is used. If a lower version is entered, the version is changed and the user is warned.

If higher versions are found and used it will be indicated.

Read structure

The structure will be read multilevel, starting with the version as defined on the initial screen. Also if a node to a higher version exists, the subordinate structure will be read, with the defined version in the structure above.

Read document

The highest version (absolute / released) will be read and displayed. Possible lower versions in the structure will be shown in brackets in the dialogue:

If multiple document versions of the same document exist in to a BOM node, this document will only be shown once and read/clone if selected.

Clone BOM

If a BOM is cloned, e.g. a copy is created, the reference BOM acc. the original version will be read as reference in the structure.

Clone document

The new document will be created with a template on the highest version (absolute / released).

Accept document

The highest version (absolute / released) will be accepted.
