SMC Control Groups

A control group controls the checks and the behavior of the individual nodes and elements in the structure, that is, the assemblies and items. Which control group is used for an element is defined by the Assignment of Definition Classes to Relation of Object Types .

Overview of the settings:

• Action of newly inserted or remote positions in the reference

• Check whether and in what quantities a component must be installed in the target

• Control of position numbering

• Lock of target structures

• Automatic "Stop", see User Manual

Field control direct / field control off incl. control groups

A control group can have entered the fields to be displayed and maintained directly under "Direct field control". However, the field controls of other control groups can also be included using this setting. Details and recommendations for setting up can be found in the F1-field help in the field "Included field control" in the view "Field control from incl. control groups".

Additional fields

In general, the fields of the DDIC structure /PCH/SMC_RELPO_DATA are available to the user in the widgets of the reference and target structure, except for the technical fields. The setting "Additional fields" can be used to show the user additional data in the display. For the possible data, see the online description of the "Data from" field in Customizing.
