CHD Customizing Settings

ProChangeDoc manages change documents of SAP DMS document info records. This document info record is the leading document, for which the settings are made. A change document will always be created to a leading document.

ProChangeDoc is always part of ProNovia SAP DMS FrameWork and uses certain settings and functions, especially the settings for the template control and document type.

The option is not part of ProChangeDoc and must be licensed separately.

Change documents cannot be created simultaneously with the creation of the leading document, because the document can't be linked before it was saved at least once.

Basic settings

In this customizing step, the generally valid basic settings are defined.

Leading document (type)

Defines, which documents are defined as leading documents and as a consequence for which documents ProChangeDoc becomes active.

Selection of the Control Record

The selection of the control record to be used according to the settings" Leading document (type)" respects the following fields and rules.

Change Document to leading document

Definition of the change documents to a leading document. If more than one change document is defined, the user must select the type (or an enhancement for automatic selection must be implemented).

If fields in the change document are required entry fields, but the corresponding values are missing in the main document, the blank fields must be filled with a Business Add-In, else the change documents cannot be created.

Status control

he status of the change documents will never be set by the user. ProChangeDoc will synchronize the status with the leading document. This setting allows configuring the synchronization and additional checks.

Please consider SAP DMS settings must correspond with the settings above, especially the status net of the document types used.
