Generate Meta Data

When developing custom objects, metadata must be extracted from the development objects. This data is written to the database to improve overall performance and because the objects must be made statically known for use in customizing.

The Generate Metadata function is available in various places in Customizing, but can also be started with transaction /PCH/CFW_METAGEN.

After execution a protocol is displayed.
