Metadata generation after product update

After updating the ProNovia Application Framework or products based on it, the metadata should be rebuilt to avoid error messages when starting the application. This also applies to certain modifications (e.g. preliminary corrections) or own Application Framework based functionality like Widgets or Object Handlers.

The generation of metadata is done either via transaction /PCH/CFW_METAGEN or via ProNovia Customizing. More information can be found in the AFW Customizing manual.

As of AFW 2.1, this is no longer necessary, as the metadata is generated immediately during import.
