Stop

The "Stop" mechanism in ProStructure allows parts of a structure not to be maintained in the structure relationship in which the "Stop" is set.

Possible reasons for "Stop"

"Stop" means, that any underlying structure is no longer maintained in the current structure relationship as of this component. Stop can be set manually (see below) or automatically (see ).

Despite "Stop", an existing target structure or one in the process of being created in another structural relationship can be displayed.

An example of how stop at installations could be set automatically if necessary:

  • Relationship 1 exists

  • Relationship 2 is created, node A is added but marked with Stop (maintenance of structure A in relationship 1)

  • When you create relationship 3, the system informs you that structure B is part of relationship 2 and if driving continues, this part is removed there and a stop mark is set

Set stop manually

Using the context menu function "Stop" or "Cancel stop", the stop mark can be set or removed from an assembly. When you set the stop mark, all underlying items are removed from the target structure. The stop mark can only be removed if the corresponding assembly is not contained in any other active structure relationship with the same validity.
