Rules for valid from date

When entering a valid from date in the create and change dialogue, but also when executing the function"Shift validities", the entered date will be checked. Below the rules which applies.

Create and change dialogue	The validity has to greater then any validity in previous revisions and changes. Exception: if the entered date = today, then the date can be equal and the previous validity is shifted -1 day. The validity has to be greater or equal than any validity of data packages belonging to the current object.
Shift validites	If the entered validity less or equal any other validity before the current validity, a warning is displayed that the validity of this changes are sifted too. A validity must be less than any validity of changes after the change to be shifted.
Create and change dialogue & shift validities	The entered validity can be in the future, but must be at least 100 days less then the "Change start date". For subordinate objects (plant/sales views to material, data package to material or plant, ...), the validity to set must be equal or greater than the corresponding revision or change of the superordinate object.
