Form Types

Forms for tree display

In forms for tree display, containers are basically converted into folder nodes under which the corresponding elements are displayed. In tree view forms, containers support the following properties:

Expanded

Definiert ob der Ordner initial expandiert ist.

Expanded

  • Flow - all fields are displayed one after another with their defined length.

  • Fixed Flow - the length of the first field (usually the identifier field) is determined over all elements of the container, so that each first element has the same length.

  • All other layouts are not supported. If another layout is set, the container will be displayed in the Flow layout.

Loading when expanding

The Loading when expanding setting can be used to reduce the effort for the initial loading. If this option is activated, the data will only be sent to the GUI when needed and, if the feeder supports this, will also only be loaded when expanding.

Title

Defines the title/text of the folder in the tree display. It is recommended to use translatable texts.

Auto. off when empty

The folder will not be displayed if it does not contain visible sub-items. Can be used to hide folders that do not represent data in the current context (e.g. because they are not relevant in the current context, or because the user does not have access to the corresponding data).

Forms for mask display

In the case of forms for mask display, the function of containers is more diverse. The container defines both its own representation and the arrangement of elements within a container.
