Control Groups

Control groups and their sub views actually control the ProMaterialData operation. There are two areas:

• Activation by data change

  • Controls ProMaterialData actions which are triggered by data changes on a material master record (MM02, ProFramework Widget, ...).

• Execution via API classes

  • Controls ProMaterialData actions which are executed using the API classes. This means they are used for programmed ProMaterialData executions using the API classes /PCH/CL_MMS_EXECUTION and /PCH/CL_MMS_MASS_PROCESSING. Therefore this settings are also used for the ProFramework widget "Control group selection" and the execution using input files with the report /PCH/MMS_PROCESS_FILE.

Within a execution following steps are performed:

• Preselection of possible control groups

• Filter of control groups

• Check of field values (only used by "Activation by data change")

• Check if one or more dependencies must be activated

• Executing actions of activated dependencies. This either online in the process of the current user or in the ProMaterialData background process
