Notes about "Reference Material"

See REFMAT:MMS – Access to data of a reference material for a definition of "reference material".
The reference material and if required the keys from material views to access must be made available to ProMaterialData. This can be made using own code before the ProMaterialData integration using the class /PRONOVIA/CL_MMS_REFMAT_DATA (see Integration and Enhancement Manual) or automatically by using this settings.

When using the ProMaterialData classes /PCH/CL_MMS_EXECUTION and /PCH/CL_MMS_MASS_PROCESSING the use of this settings is by default disabled. Access to any reference material is possible by:

Activating this settings using the method SET_REFMAT_ACTIVATION (available in both of the classes)
Set the reference material explicitly using the methods of the class /PRONOVIA/CL_MMS_REFMAT_DATA

In the ProFramework Widget for selecting and executing ProMaterialData control groups, this setting is enabled.

In the program /PCH/MMS_PROCESS_FILE for executing ProMaterialData actions by file input an select option to activate / deactivate reference material access is available.

Access to data of a reference material are possible if:

The function must be activated (see above for API access)
In this settings a handler and the corresponding keys for the access to the field / characteristic value is registered
In this field / characterisitic value of the material which is executed by ProMaterialData, a valid material master record number is registered
