The following description applies to the original display in the "Preview" widget as well as the display of originals via the corresponding icon in the original column for an object.
The search sequence for viewable files is set up in SAP customizing. Only the new unified customizing will be supported. This has to be activated by the customer. Please follow the instruction of SAP OSS note 1917163.
ProFramework use the viewing application:
"Thumbnail" display application for preview images
The "Viewer" display application to display an original (file) via the corresponding icon
the "Viewer" display application to display a "standard" original for the object (file displayed by default for the object - e.g. document or material)
Goto SAP Customizing Implementation Guide → Cross-Application Components → Document Management → Visual Enterprise Generator → Define Search Sequence for Viewable File to edit these settings.
Additional information about these settings can be found in the SAP documentation. The field usage can be used to define different setting which can be used by ProFramework application using widget parameters.
More information about the setup is described in the SAP documents. The universal field Usage can be used in ProFramework applications to create different configurations, which are taken into account by corresponding widgets.
The display of preview images or "standard" originals is supported for all objects that ProFramework supports and which can be linked to documents via document links. The first original is used that corresponds to the settings in the customizing sorted by sequential number.
All subobjects of a material (plant, distribution chain, storage location...) always use the type Material (MARA).
Corresponding BAdI integrations in the standard are supported.
For all objects (except DRAW) all linked documents are always considered in the highest (released) version.
To display a "standard original" for an object, the object handler for document originals must be included in the application.
