Widgets in Layouts

On the screen, widgets are arranged by layouts. However before widgets can be added to layouts, they must be defined globally within an application. Therefore an existing widget is added to an application, named with a widget ID and then configured. This step is necessary as widgets can be added multiply, but with different parameters.
