Extensions

The modeling environment explicitly allows the user interface and data to be extended. Currently, various standard tasks (see Standard Tasks / Statements ) use the possibility to dynamically extend the environment. However, the enhancement is not limited to the Tasks . Standard tasks can also make enhancements at other levels (Root Object "Process", Sub Processes ). This enables a global definition of settings with corresponding inheritance.

Standard tasks can enhance the modeling environment in three ways:

• Only field information is provided and the modeling environment automatically generates a new dynamic tab Further settings from it. Especially if standard tasks are also integrated on higher-level objects, it is possible that data for several enhancements is displayed. These are each held together in a container with a title bar within the tab Further settings.

• The standard task provides its own UI, but is displayed as above in the tab Further settings.

• The standard task provides its own UI in a separate tab defined by the extension.
