Workflow Auxilliary Tools

An SAP Business Workflow template exists for each activated process. Various mass operations can be performed with the workflow utilities:

Checking the existing workflow templates including automatic corrections
Creating workflow templates
Updating workflow templates
Activating process versions incl. creation of workflow templates
Deleting workflow templates

If workflow templates are already in productive use, they may not be changed afterwards because running processes may no longer function correctly. All change functions (including automatic corrections by the check) may only be executed if it can be ensured that no running processes are affected by the changes.

To check processes, the authorization object /PCH/BPFCF with the function WF and the following activities are required:

01 for creating workflow templates
02 for changing and activating workflow templates
06 for deleting workflow templates

No special authorizations are required for checking and correcting.
