<DBVAL(...)>

With <DBVAL(...)> a value using the handler DBVAL:MMS is read. In parentheses following parameters, separated by ";", must be specified:

  1. Table

  2. Fieldname

  3. and follow up = key values, separated by /

Example:

The check value is read from table MARC, field DISPO with key material number = active MMS material and plant 0099.
Example - setting a value:

The value, which is transferred to the field DISPO of the plant, is determined from the table MARC field DISPO for the current material and plant 0099. It is possible to use * in a key field (see table settings in DBVAL:MMS – Free Table Access).

*Use of wild card character **

  • In key fields when used as filter:

    • Is a * used in a key field of DBVAL, it is possible that more than one result value will be delivered. In this case, the first value, the database has delivered, will be used. Which value is the first value is not defined.

  • Field name when used in value groups:

    • When DBVAL is used in a value group in field "Set Value", then for the field name the wild card character * can be used. Details see Fieldnames with wild card * .
