License Checks

Licenses are granted when certain actions are performed. These actions are described in Granting Licenses.

Because of the modular design of modern applications additional license checks are performed at different times. These checks do not obtain a license but check if a license is installed and/or if there are named licenses left. E.g. certain widgets will no show up, if no required license is installed on the system. Also, some functions will not show up (e.g. in context menus) when no more named licenses are available, because the execution of the function requires the granting of a license.
