Start

In order to start an application, it must be linked to a special SAP GUI transaction or a Web Dynpro Application. Moreover when assigning the initial object, the object type can be defined when starting the application.

This allows defining a multi object application, and depending on the initial variant it will be started with another object type and based on the layout control it will be started with a specific layout.

Open

By setting a start object type the technical command for this object type is executed and may activate layouts. If no object type is set or no layout changes are associated to the corresponding command a start layout must be set (see AFW Applications).
