<REFMAT(...)> and <REFMAT>

With REFMAT access to data of a reference material using the handler REFMAT:MMS is executed. See REFMAT:MMS – Access to data of a reference material for general explanations on "Reference Material".

The special value REFMAT is used in following ways:

  • <REFMAT (...)> with parameters that define access to the values of the reference material. The masking character * is also allowed as field name.

  • <REFMAT> without parameters for setting up access to all records and fields of a view.

  • <REFMAT> can be used in the handler DBVAL:MMS or within the special value <DBVAL(...)> to access the material number of a reference material. See DBVAL:MMS – Free Table Access

  • REFMAT as a source for copying complete long texts from a reference material. See MVIEW:MMS – Material View Values for long texts.
