Definitions of Characteristics Up-/Download

Characteristics are no SAP customizing objects and not included in the transport system. This function allows exporting definitions of characteristics and importing them to other clients/systems. Data will be saved in an Excel spreadsheet and can be edited or enhanced manually.

This function requires authorization for reading (export) or creating and changing (import) of characteristics: Authorization object C_CABN with activities 01, 02 (create, change) and 03 (view).

	Start action: For an export, storage location as well as file name must be set. A file name will be suggested based on the characteristic's name. For an import the definition file must be selected.
Export	Characteristic's definition according characteristic name shall be exported.
Characteristic Name	Name of characteristic, whose definition shall be exported.
Import	A definition of characteristics shall be imported. The file must have been created with this function or must match the format when creating a file with this function.
Characteristics group: *acc. import, empty=w/o	Allows setting different characteristic groups than on the source system. Value * results in characteristic groups according source system, empty --> characteristic is not assigned to a characteristic group, else the entered characteristic group will be applied.
