Decline Changes
ProConfiguration allows to decline changes, based on a specific status type. This is possible for material, plant, distribution line changes as well as for data packages with document info record and structure.
If this status is set, it will trigger the following process:
· The validity of a relevant objects is shifted to 30.12.9999, e.g. the object will never become valid.
· For data packages, no further action is necessary, by shifting the validity the previous valid version becomes valid again.
· The last status, the last scenario and if relevant the last validity before starting the current declined change is set on the material master record (client/plant/distribution line)
Hereinafter a typical status scheme, how this status type can be used.
It is correct, status Decline has no successor status, as ProConfiguration will automatically set status previous to Change.
It should not be possible to decline a creation of an object. In this case, the object remains on status Decline as no predecessor scenario is available.
Example
Material status before starting the change (status log):
Change is started and rejected:
It is decided to decline the change, which is displayed in the configuration display as follows (only if declined changes are displayed):
Status log after the change has been declined. Line 7 shows entry for actual Declined status and line 8 shows automatically created entry for the reset to the last change/state.
