ProFramwork Form Designer

The ProFramework Form Designer is an ProFramework based application providing the possibility to create, copy and edit ProFramework Forms (CVE Views / ProNovia custom forms) without the need to edit the XML file in an editor. The Designer can be started wit the transaction /PCH/CFW_CVE_DESIGN.

All features of ProFramework based applications (like Navigation, drag&drop, layout personalization etc.) are available.

1	List of forms available in the system. Functionality for filtering and sorting is available.
2	List of the attributes for the selected elements. Possibility to change or reset the values for an element. A changed value will be applied by pressing enter in the widget. If multiple elements are selected, only the attributes are displayed, which all elements have in common.
3	List of available CVE types and CVE elements available in the system. Elements can be dragged and dropped to the view structure widget to add the element.
4	Properties of the current view including the view name and the view parameters (e.g. parameters for feeders used in the view)
5	Structure of the view displayed in a tree based hierarchy. Allows the reorganization or reordering of view elements by dragging and dropping them within the view structure widget, deleting an element or change its type via the context menu. The properties of the selected elements are shown in the element properties widget. Multiple elements can be selected by using shift and pressing enter in the view. Possible errors are displayed in the message column. A Click on a Message Column displays all Messages as a List.
6	Display of the form sources in XML format. During edit, a source can be changed directly in the text area. Changes in the source must be applied (execute function in toolbar) before the changes take place.
7	Edit currently selected form
8	Create new form
9	Create new version of the currently selected form
10	Copy the currently selected form into a new one.

Whether the used elements will be shown on the view later on, is determined by the availability of their respective base object. E.g. elements bound to the Document will not show up on views displaying Material master data.

A new view or a new view version needs to be activated, before it will be used in an widget / application.

The binding of an element cannot be changed in the form.

ProFramework forms are cross client customizing, and therefore a workbench transport is required when changing a form in the development environment. This way, the correct transportation of the forms into the following systems is ensured. In non development system with activated cross client customizing options, the forms can be changed without transport request.
