Defining available Languages

Any language, which shall be used in ProProcess, must be defined in the workflow definition. The languages can be defined in SAP Customizing (Transaction SPRO) → SAP Customizing Implementation Guide → ABAP Platform → Application Server → Business Management → SAP Business Workflow → Basic Settings (Organization Management) → Specify Order of Languages Available.

Recommendations

Activate the "Additional persistence for work item texts" according to SAP Note 1819344 for all relevant languages in the system.

Historically, the work item subject was only stored in the language in which the work item was created. However, if the subject is language-dependent, the option "Display work item texts in logon language" must be activated in the user settings in order for a user to see the subject in their logon language. This leads to corresponding performance problems when displaying the inbox.
