Support Center Search

On many main structural pages of the ProNovia documentation you will find a search field that searches within the specific area and all its sub-areas.

This is particularly useful if you are looking for the content of a product in one of the manuals → go to the product page of the specific manual and perform the search there.

Basic search options

This basic search options are available in the portal of our support center, but also in the search field within the online documentation.

The search terms can be entered in lower case in general
For complete expressions use ".....".
- If an expression like e.g. valid from is searched for, this can be achieved by the use of quotation marks and closing characters " ".
- So with "valid from" exactly this term will be found (but also valid-from)
- Other usages of valid are not considered.
Usage OR / AND / NOT
- With the terms OR, AND and NOT (in capital letters) the search can be influenced
- With AND (and) both terms must be present in a text. Example: smc AND "valid from" searches for texts where these two terms occur.
- With OR (or) one of the terms must be contained. Example "valid from" OR "valid to" searches for all content where at least one of the two terms is contained.
- NOT (not) excludes terms. So "valid until" NOT "valid from" searches pages where valid until is contained, but not also valid from.
OR / AND / NOT together and also several times in one expression
- The priority is NOT before AND before OR.
- This means
  - In a search term NOT is applied to the immediately following search term.
  - Then it is checked that the terms linked with AND are found, so all terms must appear in the text.
  - If OR is then still used, one of the terms (or combinations with NOT and / or AND) must be found.
- Examples:

Search term	Explanation
mvd AND configuration	Searches for texts containing both terms "mvd" and "configuration".
mvd AND configuration AND datenpackage	Searches texts in which all of the three specified terms occur.
NOT mvd AND configuration	Searches for texts containing the term "configuration" but not "mvd".
mvd OR datenpackage AND change	Searches texts in which the term "mvd" occurs without further restriction or both terms "datapackage" and "change" are contained.
mvd AND configuration OR datenpackage AND change	Searches for texts containing both terms "mvd" and "configuration" or both terms "datapackage" and "modification".
