"Mass Maintenance Task Workspace" Widget

This is the central work area where the object lists are created and then the values for the objects are maintained. For both activities there are different help functions available, which are described in detail under .

The layout of the fields in the work area is predefined by the maintenance type of the mass maintenance task. If there are several object types, the relevant fields for the output and, if necessary, the maintenance of the data are used for each object type. Non-relevant fields remain empty.

Notes on display:

  • For each object, its icon, description of the type, key and name are displayed.

  • A line with highlighted font (bold) marks the beginning of a block of a main object and the associated sub-objects.

  • The structural level is only displayed for maintenance types with data source "Structure".

  • The "OK" / "Data maintenance OK" column is only offered if this is set accordingly. This column is a tool to indicate that the data maintenance for the corresponding object is complete. Depending on the maintenance type setting, a mass maintenance task can only be applied if all relevant lines are marked as "OK".

  • The columns "Number of maintenance fields" and "Number of data changes" show how many fields on this line are offered for maintenance and how many of them have been changed compared to the current value of the object.

  • The fields that are highlighted in color are input fields where the value can generally be changed. Optionally, however, these can be deactivated on individual objects via customer enhancements. This is marked with an alternative color (blue in the example above). Please note that the active input field has a light blue background (non-changeable system behavior).

  • The current database value can be displayed before the input value:

This is switchable via a function. The column title of columns with current values are marked with quotation marks"
