Functions for Objects

Various objects functions can be called on the objects of the configuration display via the context menu. These are global functions of ProFramework as well as ProConfiguration specific functions, which are described below.

Repeat object dialog	client / data package	Depending on the configuration an "Configuration Object Selection" Widget is provided when creating an object or starting an object change like a material plant/distribution view or data package. As long as the change is still open (depending on the status of the objects), this dialogue can be repeated any time with this function. This way additional document objects can be created, linked, versionized or removed.
Shift validity	client, plant, distribution, data package, document, BOM, routing	It depends on the required authorization , whether this function is provided and on which objects it is available. Allows shifting the validity of an object and its sub objects. The new validity is entered in a dialogue. See Rules for valid from date for how the entered date is checked.\|
Status change/change	material, Plant, distribution, data package	Function Status change is a standard function in application ProFramework. However in the configuration display the description of this function is modified, because a status change on object material may start a change. See also function Start change for additional information about this function concerning data packages.
Start change	data package	This is a sub function of function status change/change and starts a data package change. For a data package a start of a change always leads to a new version of the related data package object.
